With over 10 years of engineering experience, I will capture and create the sound you are looking for. Dedicated to getting the best possible sound to tape, I have worked with some amazing musicians to produce some incredible results. My experience ranges from professional studios working with signed talent to live recordings in venues and festivals across Canada. If you are looking to work with an engineer who puts as much love and effort into what he does as you do, look no further.

My foolish new obsession

So I was given a piano the other day. Well given may be a bit off. A neighbor came to the store to inform me that a piano was sitting on the side of the road and free too. He said he didn't want to see some punks vandalize it. So now I have a King Brothers piano in my living room. It predates 1926 and has bird cage style action (not a good thing for those looking to restore pianos I read). And I am now setting off to restore this old beauty to a playable condition. Wish me luck. 8 hours in and I have gotten only half the dust off.

Kyla Coopman and The Coalition Live at the Backstage Lounge

This past Thursday (June 24th 2010) I had the pleasure of recording Kyla Coopman and The Coalition at the Backstage Lounge on Granville Island. These 2 artists are on the Arc of The Universe Label and are a must see. Kyla is a young up and coming artist whose music is soulful and refreshing, while The Coalition will have you moving with their grooving tunes. Be sure to check them out.

Two for One Today

On Saturday June 19th I will be recording The British Columbians at the Sharks Club in Vancouver. Doors are at 8. Come check these guys out, you wont be disappointed.

Also this past weekend Brian Faber came over and tracked his song Howl On, demo to be posted soon. This is a great track and must be heard!

Mix Finished on GoatFace Killaz Debut Album Shenanigoats

I have just finished mixing the debut album of the duo known as GoatFace Killaz. Check them out! Their acoustic based comedy is sure to get a laugh. Driving rhythms, screaming high vocals, hilarious lyrics and incredibly catchy hooks will have you listening to them on repeat. Keep checking back on their myspace for CD release dates and where you can see them next.

Update! CD to be released August 3rd
